Books

Post by Mook » Thu Jul 15, 2004 12:00 pm

I've got some books that I'd like to get shot of. So, if anyone would like them please let me know. (Ideally, you might give me one in return)

-Michael

The Song of the Earth (trilogy. 3 large books), Caisel Mor. Celtic Druids a long time ago try not to get taken over by the nasty Christians.

Unreliable Memoirs, Clive James. Sort-of biography of Aussie Comedian/pundit

Sweet Talking Money, Harry Bingham

With Nails, Richard E Grant. Film Diaries

Still Water, Stuart Harrison.

Cold Print, Ramsey Campbell

On the Road, Jack Kerouac. A bit misogynist, for 15 year old boys.

Finbar's Hotel. Collection of (interlinked) short stories by Irish Authors.

Dirty White Boys, Stephen Hunter.

The Light of Falling Stars, J Robert Lennon.

The Ghosts of Sleath, James Herbert.

I've donated some books I didn't want as part of my collection and they love it. Really gives you the warm fuzzies for the day. :)

Alternate things to do:
Schlepping them to the antiikvariatti
Selling them off at the kirpputori
Leaving them on someone's doorstep, ringing the bell & running away

deoj! so YOU were the one who gave me Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus and Management for Dummies! Very useful, they've been! Although I must admit I burned the complete Hardy Boys series when the heating in my building went out. I hope you understand.

Complete?!? How can you say they were complete when all of the "improve your sex life" columns had been removed with scissors?

Check the insides of the Bibles that were in the pile and you'll see where they went off to. Gotta spread the good word and all that!

I'd be interested in the Druids and Finbar and any fantasy/ sci-fi. I posted a list here not so long time ago what I had for giving away.
Cheers, Hank W.
