Hey all!
I am in need of a Polaroid Camera to borrow for my upcoming wedding (perhaps two if available) in 3 weeks.
PM if I could borrow them.
Thanks in advance. (I would be willing to meet in downtown to pick them up and to drop them off after their use + give any extra unused film as a bonus, if any)

How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?
Need to borrow a POLAROID CAMERA for my upcoming wedding!

Buying the cameras themselves aren't the expensive part, it's the film that costs.
In my experience, it is almost always cheaper to find polaroid film when sold as part of a camera+film package.

Has anyone actually seen any such sold around? I have a vague recollection seen one in a camera shop window... but was it one of those historical displays... I know they use the film to make those instant passport photos,
Cheers, Hank W.

You mean with the Polaroid the ones with the instant-pictures?
Isn't a normal ASL camera easier then?
Thinking of making extra prints of the negatives, quality of the photos, etc. etc. And if I'm correct the normal 35mm film is cheaper than those polaroid instant packages (if you can get those still anyway...).

I need stuff instantly and dont want to carry my computer / laptop and printer scanner copier to the wedding and at the reception for photo taking of the guests and having them write down a few thoughts / comments to us in our guest book...

I know Polaroid's are still available, I bought one not too long ago, but that was in Australia!
The film is expensive, and only comes in packs of 10 or so, as in you can only put ten in at a time.
My suggestion if you want pics of your guests is to put disposable cameras on each table. Sometimes you get good stuff, sometimes you don't. I know some places you get the processing free with these cameras, again, I don't know about in Finland though. It has been a while!
I haven't been to a Finnish wedding but at the weddings I have been to in Aus most people give a gift with a card, and the card has well wishes etc. But if you want some drunken scrawl from the night I suggest a poster or guest book for people to sign. If you go with the guest book you can always stick the photographs in later. Or, have the guest book separate and make up a nice photo album. Get it circulated or put it at an entry/exit.
Polaroid's don't have a great deal of room for writing on them anyway.
Just some suggestions, from a wannabe photographer!

thanks to all that have given responses.. but I need the camera for instant photos during the wedding extravaganza. its for our guestbook and we are taking pictures of the guests / couples and then placing the photo on the page and having them write out their thoughts and wishes to Hanna and myself. we are also going to have our digital camera there and taking photos as well, to replace the instant photos once they eventually fade away...(roughly in two years from what I have heard.)
but anyway, it looks like i have a person here that has one that I can borrow and have freinds coming from the states that will be bringing the film for us.. so all is well now.
Thanks to all!!
