British/Irish Style B and B in Finland

Post by PeterF » Mon Dec 20, 2004 8:22 am

For those who are used to the excellent alternative to a Anonymous often expensive Hotel ..finding a friendly homely Band B in Finland, as per
Irish/British style is not easy.
But they do exist.
I start this thread by promoting this one.
( If anyone knows of other place add them to them thread, I did ask/get the OK from Neil, so perhaps, one should check first that any adds qualify)

An Old Irish Nokia colleague contacted me to say he has opened a "British
Style Bed and Breakfast" in Savo.
It is on the järvi ranta at Savonranta. (Between Joensuu and Savolinna).
He is actualy still working for Nokia but hopes one day that enough old
Nokialaiset will visit his place so that he can give Iso Jorma keskisormi.
He speaks almost fluent Finnish and his wife is a Finn.
For those wanting a nice lake side break.
Not too far from Savoliina.
Contact his wife Elina Gaynor, here is the info

I was looking on the menu of this B&B and I found:
HOUSE SPECIAL: IRISH-FINNISH ORGASM
2 cl St. Brendan’s Irish Cream, 2 cl Koskenkorva, served on the rocks
3,70 €

Are you sure this is real?

Are you addressing my post or the one prior?

Did you want to know if the B&B is real or if the drink is real?
It was the drink, in particular the name (Irish-Finnish orgasm), I bet it is very popular there!
