is it true to live in finland you have to have a certain amount of money in youre bank account? i herd this from someone and just wondered if it was true also if so how much thanks

It depends on your country of origin. Non-EU nationals must verify that they have sufficient funds to support themselves during their stay so when you submit an application for residence, you must provide details on your source of income. If you're married then it's not a requirement. The UVI have said that 900 € a month is required.

Its also for non-EU students they need to show 6000 euros on the bank account at the time of permit application so as to prove they can support themselves for the year.
