So will my car be vandalized in Finland if I have a sticker of an American flag and the Eagle, Anchor and Globe on it?
I know many places in Europe where such a sticker would be an invitation for mayhem.
And it would be possible in Finland too I suppose.

I'm confused... are you Finnish or a merkin? Why would a Finn want a sticker of a US flag on their car? Why would a merkin want a US flag on their car?

I'm a Finn who has lived in the States for 16 years and I am moving back to Finland with my American husband. I also have a Finnish sticker on my car.

No, it'll be vandalized because its a gas-guzzling SUV and you're taking the parking place of 2 normal cars, and most importantly - its a better one than what the neighbor has

And that is total BS. WE happen to know that Philippinos are recruited because they have a fairly good training and schooling, and they are used to the idea of working abroad.

We
LET me ask WE you and who For your information there are so many BLACK trained nurses here remember they were not trained anywhere but in FINLAND SO :ohno:
LOOK WHO is telling me bull !"#¤% this black nurses happen to speak finnish too the Philippinos don't.
But i got it from the health authorities and the nurses that some patients dont want to be attended to by black nurses there is a nurse from AFRICA who was working as a practical nurse in a nursing home caring after the old and once a resident told her don't touch me you SOMALI then she explained sorry am not SOMALI and am the NURSE on duty but the resident said you are all same AFRICANS BLACK SKIN so the nurse had to report and the MATRON told the resident that there was no other white NURSE to handle since it was the black one on duty.
Thus the authority can justify that they have to bring in Filipinos and train them the language a BLACK NURSE trained in the UK and US better equiped than one from filipino.
So before you BS BS have facts

If I look at your postings on bringing hunting guns, I start to understand what certain people have against you and your USA-ideas (I am of the opinion that terrorists should be destroyed btw)

1) If you do not care that other people are killed and murdered (as long it is not you), you do not belong to a civil society.
2) Dr.Mengele had the same ideas as the writer which you admire (the strong will survive).

Please stay in the USA with your narrow minded ideas  And probably Tiwaz would like to join you.

Well, faithfull, I have not heard that story before. There are several black nurses in Jorvi nearby, and I have not heard of anything similar happening there. It may be true or may not. But anyway, if is true, at least the person in question was some old demented woman and not a member of parliament which was a case when UK MP was accused of racism towards Finnish nurses:
Diane Abbott, the MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington, attacked Homerton Hospital for "shipping in" girls from Finland who were not suited to working in multi-racial East London. She said she was amazed that the hospital had given jobs to "blonde blue-eyed girls from Finland, instead of nurses from the Caribbean who know the language and understand British culture and institutions."

Hospital managers were "scouring Europe for cheap labour" instead of giving employment to local people, she claimed in the local paper, the Hackney Gazette. "Are Finnish girls, who may never have met a black person before, best suited to nurse in multicultural Hackney?" she said. "I am sure that these young women are charming. But they are basically here to improve their English and are unlikely to give the British health service a lifetime's commitment."
Ian Bruce, Tory secretary of the all-party Finland group of MPs, condemned Miss Abbott's article as "racist rubbish". He added: "She is using racial stereotypes which are wholly inappropriate. Most Finnish girls are dark-haired, not blonde with blue eyes."
"One of the Finnish nurses, Satu Jaaskelainen, 25, from Helsinki, called Diane Abbott's outburst ridiculous, racist and insulting. "It has made me very angry. I treat all of my patients the same. They are all human beings, there is no difference.""

What? Because I do not find people killing themselves to be ultimate horror?
Let's put it this way, you want to kill yourself... It's your life. If you think you thought it over and still want to end it, why not.
As long as you leave others alone.

As for interventions abroad... Those tend to cause more problems than they solve. Look at Iraq for example. It was stable. Dictatorship, yes. But stable.

Now, few years and over 100 000 dead innocents later it is country preparing itself for civil war. People live in ethnically separated areas, fortified like middle age castles.

Whoah, Rick1, where did you get that in my paragraphs? The discussion was of suicide, not murder. I certainly do not approve of killing other people. Bringing hunting guns has nothing to do with killing people.
Rick1 wrote:2) Dr.Mengele had the same ideas as the writer which you admire (the strong will survive).
Also law of nature.

What are my "USA-ideas" exactly? What exactly are you referring to that makes me "narrow-minded"? I find it hard to believe you read my paragraphs thoroughly to get so upset. :ohno: I really don't understand your reaction at all.

I brought my “Support Our Troops” car magnet with me when I moved to Finland, and displayed it on my car for over a year without incident.

Goldie; Yay! Are you an American living in Finland? I would love to hear about your experiences.

Tiwaz; Almost correct. The Kurdish people who managed to survive Saddam's genocide would strongly disagree with you about being stable. As far as being separated ethnically, Iraq has always (for about 4000 years now, I was told by the Iraqis) been divided in tribes and in ethnically and religiously separated areas. Nothing new there. The civil war has been brewing for quite some time, long before outside intervention. I have listened to the accounts of the Shiiat, Sunni and Kurdish first hand while working with them for two years now. The coalition forces did not start the mess, but they certainly did not help much either. However, I am disappointed with the media that the public is kept in ignorance as far as the positive developments in Iraq. Media only reports the bad stuff. US forces are trained to fight wars, yet they are busting their asses off building hospitals, schools, orphanages, water and sewer facilities, roads, etc. But no one reports any of that. There is a lot of good being done in Iraq.

Well they are not doing much now against the turks who are bombing the kurds now is it ?
O yes the USA needs the Turks

Sorry but the USA is getting a part back on their plate where they have been playing with in the past 30 years (unfortunately but this happens when you are supporting all kind of strange groups etc.)

Oh it came through :D

1)Suicide should be stopped because: they kill other innocent people too (bombers, people jumping from buildings on other people etc. a person who does not care anymore is very dangerous (so narrow minded to say it is ok)

2) Would you say if your child is dying : law of nature (well you sound selfish but soo selfish?)

So that is what I do not like: the total selfnishis of the USA-people.
