I sent the updated travel history after the automated request two weeks ago

And I do not understand why people here struggling with the travel history many times.
Finnish border could have an access to all your trips from helsinki airport and ship harbor from Finland at least.
Better be precise rather than speculations.
Hope all of us getting positive decision soon.
Otherwise its hard to wait with ambiguity and restrictions.
Did you fill travel history in application form when you applied for the citizenship?
I think he's referring to the automated info update request which includes travel history.

We applied at similar times. Probably both got that same update request about 2 weeks ago. That is where I updated my travel history since December 2023. Travel history prior to December 2023 was included in my initial application prior to receiving the update request.
Hi, any news after updating the requested automatic email about travelling history?

For the residence time requirement. I guess the application would be initially approved if the applicant applies before maximum 3 months of completing the residence time requirement.
That is true. I applied in August 2022 when I was roughly two months short of meeting the four-year residence requirement. My application was sent into the queue for processing and a diary number assigned. The officer at the service point made no comment about my applying "early," knowing full well that there wasn't a snowball's chance in he$$ of my application being processed within 60 days.

Whole different ball game under the new automated system, though.

By the way, I am going to send another citizenship application, so there can be possibility of getting it through automatic decisions. As in my case Migri told to Oileuskansleri about my travels that should be paid attention to, so everything else should be fine. After waiting for more than 21 months, my travels in 2016, 2017, 2018 and partly in 2019 don’t matter anymore, as 4-years time has shifted and I haven’t traveled anymore that much after the end of 2019.

Migri also told that it is actually possible to create as many applications as humanly possible, you just need to pay another fee. But I don’t want to wait anymore, so I would rather take a chance and hope for the automatic processing for now
I can understand your impatience with having to wait. If you do submit a second application for citizenship, I wish you all the best! I personally am going to wait it out (decision should be forthcoming any month now), as I am reluctant to hand over any more money to the Finnish state than I need to    .

I heard from a friend of my friend getting a decision two days ago, but she was applying on 5.2023. She got requested information on enterfinland and she got a decision the next day.
I think the automatic email asking for updating information isnt important, as the one requested information on enterfinland.

The place in queue feature in Kamu has been disabled because the Finnish Immigration Service suspects that it has been used in an unintended way.

Kamu’s queue feature is intended for customers and employers so that they can check the status of their own or their employee’s applications in the processing queue.

However, Kamu has recently been used to systematically inquire and track the queue positions of a large number of random applications.

It has been possible to ask for a place in the queue with a diary number. The diary number does not contain personal data on the customers of the Finnish Immigration Service so customers' personal data has not been compromised.

Problems with the place in queue feature in the Kamu system do not affect the processing of applications. We will inform you immediately when we are able to provide a replacement tool for the place in queue feature.

👉 Read more from our customer bulletins: migri.fi/en/-/problems-with-the-kamu-chatbot-place-in-queue-feature-looking-for-solution
They mention that they've contact the 'authorities' to look into the people who were doing the data scraping, maybe they assumed it was some Russian spy, but then I remembered there 'was' a person on this forum who would post charts on weekly/monthly intervals with stats on migri processing, their name was 'just_passing_by' I also note that all their posts have been scrubbed from the site. So, putting two and two together, I guess we can all thank this person for being the cause of Kamu's ability to tell us our queue position.
Justpassingby’s charts have been very useful for a lot of people. Because of this, we know a lot of things about when to expect decision etc. Kamu’s inability to tell us our queue position is all on migri. I wouldn’t blame people who have been trying to help here.

Hi guys
Are there any people whose citizenship applications have been waiting in "Processing" stage since more than 10 days now? I got an email that said "processing has begun". It has been around 13 days and I have no queries, no further emails. Anyone else blocked similarly?

That’s totally normal. Mine stayed for a month and half in the processing stage then I got the decision. I got a request for additional information just the last week before the decision but during a month while in processing I haven’t received any request.

Hi,

Last week my long wait was finally over and I got my positive decision.
Applied 1.7.2022 at Kuopio, so it took almost 2y for me - quite disappointing long time however during the processing it became clear why I was in the long queue.
My application moved to Processing in mid May, so pretty close to the 23m deadline and the reason for the long wait became apparent: there was an issue with my permanent address during the last 4 years and I need to admit that it was my fault of missing an update to DVV.
So, that pushed me to the long queue and required some clarification / answering to the information requests.
At the end it was fully clarified and decision was issued last week.

I wish positive decisions coming for all soon and especially for 2022 applicants as I do know how irritating the 2y wait is.
