By the way, I am going to send another citizenship application, so there can be possibility of getting it through automatic decisions. As in my case Migri told to Oileuskansleri about my travels that should be paid attention to, so everything else should be fine. After waiting for more than 21 months, my travels in 2016, 2017, 2018 and partly in 2019 don’t matter anymore, as 4-years time has shifted and I haven’t traveled anymore that much after the end of 2019.

Are you saying that the way the 4 years continuous residency rule is counted based on today's date and 4 years earlier, i.e. not from the start of the residency? I have similar issue as i have been travelling verry frequently in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Finally migri has an excuse to process applications as slow as the wish.adding pending applications to the new law means less processing and decisions to be made and more waiting time for old applications.

the way i read it - the new law will apply to pending citizenship application, therefore affects the applications currently eaites to be processed !!

I think it is a bit different. The translation is surely confusing but in another place they have a detailed explanation whose translation is clearer.
