We are descendants of Africans who are descendants of all around the world. It doesn't mean that I'm responsible for our ancestors actions in Africa. I haven't sold or bought slaves. I have not been for or against apartheid (but I too think that few decades ago South Africa was better off than today, even for the coloured people).

Somehow the current situation of many African countries seems like a ship that had mutiny, and where the officers have bailed out, because the crew whacked holes to the ship. Now the crew demand that they too must get to the boat carrying the officers or at least the officers are responsible to pump the water from the ship.

Noup, I'm quite colourless. I used to be a blond as a kid, but nowadays I would need some help from peroxide....
For the "better off" comment: I draw a conclusion from the news about rampant crime and economical problems of SA. Quick googling suggests that I might have been a tad too hasty. The economy is not so bad as I thought and I didn't get any info where the crime rates of the apartheid era would have been compared to the current state. So I'm willing to change my opinion. But your comments don't aid that.

I dunno but I think there was more crime back in the day...but it was more confined to the...er.....them areas where...Townships!! these days it's spread more and reported internationally so it gives a worse impression. there probably isn't accurate records for crime, especially when it was black on black.

How on earth did you come to the conclusion? and how could you pass judgement on someone that you know nothing about just from the vague statement that he is from SA?

SA, according to what I have heard, has a strict policy of affirmative action...With black males being at the top, white males being at the very bottom, coloureds in the middle. Combine that with a whites having 9.1% of the population ...the only people who have it worse off are the whites.
