Hi guys, I was for some time the silent reader of all the posts in this thread and I am happy to announce that I become a Finn.
Applied and visited Migri 02/10/2023
Stage 2: 30/07/2024
Stage 3: 31/07/2024 at 20:53 pm (nice way to start a new month

)
My queue was 8xxx at the start, and around 5000 when Kamu stopped.
Came to Finland with a scientific research visa in October 2019 from a North African country
I Applied using YKI (Swedish).
Income was coming from various grants and not a working contract.
2 weeks ago I called Migri to ask about my case and I was informed that it would take 2 years to start processing my application
So good luck everyone! Have faith
Congratulations!!!
Were you a permanent resident when you applied? Or if not, what type of residency permit did you have?

When I applied for citizenship I wasn't permanent resident, but I was applying for PR.
During this time I had the fixed term scientific research residence permit

I applied for a permanent visa and for a finish pass in the middle of March, has anyone also applied for a permanent visa in March and there is still no decision, now I'm a little worried why so much waiting for PR when my range number was 10xx in the start ?

Hang in there! My application (from 08/22) finally went into processing two weeks ago, while I was abroad (I notified migri beforehand about my trip). After returning last week, I received a request for additional information (re my self-employment). I'm in the process of getting the documents together.

that I get my answer this week!

Hey - is there anyone left who applied in 2021 and 2022 who are still in the stage 1 waiting to be processed? I applied in October 2022 and I had a queue of 2100 when Kamu was shut down. Most of the news lately has been from people who applied after me, so I can’t help but wonder if MIGRI has been processing very many of the long-sitting 2021 and 2022 applications. Or if they have been putting most of their effort into processing any newer ones that they deem as requiring less time to process than those already in the slow-barely-crawling pile from 2021 and 2022.

Only going by what's discussed here - it appears that during the summer holidays more older applications have been processed (2022.)
Now beginning of August, they appear to be going back to the October and November groups of 2023.
Very disappointing that even after a recent maintenance that KAMO is still left unattended too. Took it down in May and reason given was only communicated to the customers a month or so later.

Hi everyone ,Has anyone applied after May 2 and received an automatic decision? I submitted my application on 10 June and didn't need to visit the service point, but an hour after getting the diary number, I received an email saying my application had entered stage 2. However, it has remained in phase 2 since then. I wanted to know if anyone has had a similar experience.

Here from June 2022, came to Finland on a student residence permit then changed to A after graduation. Still waiting in the stage I
