That's because most (like the 2 Espoo ones) open today (june 30th).
There are signs on the Keha III (Kauklahti exit) and Turunvayla (near IKEA), also the Kunninkaantie Road. Drove by them yesterday and salivated.

If you do go during the weekend then let me know how much they are charging.... I saw Finnish strawberries at 10 euro a kilo in Tapiola this morning (OK, it was Stockmann!!!) and a bit less on the stalls behind the library. I'm off to Pohja this afternoon so I'll check out the prices on the Hanko road.

Just got back from the Espoo fields (Rossi Tarhat)
Strawberries are small but ripe. Right now, they are 3.50 a kilo. It was pretty quiet there - I expect things to pick up over the weekend.
Early strawberries are small and very strong (tart). These are the best for freezing and making into pies and such.

I bought some (ready picked, Finnish) in Kaarina (btwn Turku and Parainen) this afternoon. 3 euro a litre. They were good though, smallish, roundish, but sweet and ripe enough to eat without sugar. We saw some people picking their own in the fields but not a whole lot and we were in a hurry so didn't stop to check the prices. My own (in Pohja) are still green and won't be ready to pick for at least another week, though I did eat a few tiny wild strawberries that have seeded in the vegetable garden. Bought Finnish peas too, they were VERY good.
