This was me when I came here, however not anymore. My advice is to get signed up to one of the Finnish language courses, study full time and study hard. If you can survive on the small benefit, take it and smile. Once you learn the language you are better placed to find work and repay your "loan" to the state via tax

Seems he will need more Finnish than English....of course good English will be an asset.
