Mmm, good idea, that gravy will definitely find its place in my kitchen. Nigel Slater is affectionately known in our house by me and my sister as 'our main man Nige' apart from his food being amazing I just love the way he writes, dead funny and somehow just spot on

Hi, as for your "fish n chips" try using beer when you make the batter and lard or dripping to fry in, its always better than oil.
