Can somebody have our cat killed?

Where to buy? Where can I find? How do I? Getting started.

Is the cat microchipped? Can't you call the police and charge her with theft? It seems she is knowingly and willfully taking your possession from you by the continued feeding.

Or send her a bill for the petrol and time used to pick up the cat, make sure it comes to more than the cat food

some of them may contradict what I am saying... if so, I stand to be corrected!
Well, they contradict what you are saying. And they are from cat-lover´s pages, not cat-hater´s pages.

Would you care to elaborate?

I have seen a similar list in English elsewhere (also 16 points, at least some of which look to be the same or very similar) but they are not very convincing.

Actually it's a different list.

Now I may be wrong (if you remember I was stating my opinion and asking if there are any good reasons to revise it in a Finnish context) but I'm not wrong because I can't read Finnish

Opinions on this differ quite widely around the world, based as much on culture as anything else. So "house cats" are the norm in the USA, while letting them roam is what most people do in the UK.

OK, this is a waste of time, not to mention patience and politeness.

Bye bye.

Maybe you should use your time teaching your cat Finnish.

Ok, I get the subtext - "you've been around here on and off for 2 or 3 years now so you should be fluent in Finnish" ?

Unfortunately not everyone's circumstances make that possible.

As the cat probably is more intelligent, it will understand that in Finland you have Finnish circumstances and nobody cares what cats do in the USA nor UK.

Oooh, a fight :?

Cat is back home again (at least for now). Mrs went to pick it up without even speaking to the lady. Didn't write the letter yet either. She'll have to do that because the lady is Swedish-speaking only. I don't do Swedish. Not that my Finnish is good enough to write a "stop stealing my pussy" letter either...

Cue further heated discussion, this time over "are Swedish speaking old ladies inherently more evil than Finnish speaking old ladies"

Must say I agree with the following comment 100%:

"Old ladies are the trollops of the cat world, always luring faithful animals away from their owners with a bowl of milk or other such charm."

But I would also add:

"Cats are the gold digging sluts of the animal world, easily lured away from their alleged "family" by any old lady who splashes a dash of milk their way "

Yep, I'm a dog person. Just playing the hand I've been dealt...

Hank, it is precisely those Finnish circumstances I was asking about to begin with. The USA/UK thing was to illustrate that there are differences in different places, for all sorts of reasons. It was what is generally known (by really, really intelligent people) as an example.

There are nonetheless commonalities, because, by in large, American, Finnish and British cats have quite lot in common, being, as they are, cats...

Yes well the fact of the cat is that you don't own it, it owns you.

Theres difference in different places sure - a barn cat in Nowheremäki vs. old ladys cat in Töölö. Two different stories totally.
