Oh, now i get the "Margaret" image - i watched a bit of "Little Britain", but it was just after i finished watching "Fawlty Towers", "The League of Gentlemen", and "Blackadder", and "Little Britain" simply didn't seem very funny in comparison with the other three.
I'll try watching the series in more detail someday.

Btw, bullacc has no connection with the character in Little Britain, the original is Bull. Acc. , which you could probably guess what it stands for - it's just the name of a disposable email account i use for registering on websites to avoid spam on my main accounts.

I definitely should get me one of them "Margaret" t-shirts...

That is, if in the back there's a blue-and-yellow printed picture of Margaret Thatcher eating sunflower seeds from a glass bowl whilst watching an Icelandic geysir erupt.

I've also seen bags of snack sunflower seeds (can't remember if they were roasted or not - or whether they were roasted only on one side, or both  ) at K CityMarket in Myyrmäki, so yes they should be available. But as someone already hinted, as such they're often considered bird food at these latitudes, unless used in baking etc. So many of us Finns aren't all that used to eating them as munchies; that's why they're not that readily available.

If you can't find Stockmann, then I have serious doubt about you ever finding sunflower seeds

:) Oh, i can find Stockmann, i couldn't find the Deli in there before though - never went to the basement levels.
Btw, also found an Alepa, and quite close to where i live, so no problems.

I'm leaving for Dubliner's right now, i'll go through Rautatieasema first and see about the "nuts" store :)

Well, none of the suggestions worked, i tried everywhere and the best i could find were small shelled un-roasted seeds, for salads... i still don't know what's the point in using them un-roasted, they have no taste like that.

Anyway - based on some directions from a colleague at Nokia i managed to find a Halal food store called "Jasmin", in Hakaniemi metro station (entrance next to the meat market).
And there i managed to find basically every type of seed available, including sunflower seeds, roasted, unshelled, salted, and big.

Thanks anyway for taking the time.

Hey, good to know. I go to that shop every now and then... but had never noticed the seeds! (maybe because well, yes, I'm Finnish and we tend to think of sunflower seeds as 'bird food' mostly  :D ) But - the next time I'll give the roasted ones a try
