Indeed, "interesting".

Not wishing to shout off too much about food (before I sound like janihesk  ), but I did work 15 years in the food industry, and sort of feel I know what I'm talking about when I say something is "crap". I'm genuinely concerned about the rubbish most people buy ("because it's cheap and I have a family to feed" ).+

But the thing is, in old days there wasn't "cheap food" and people bought meat less often, because "meat" wasn't cheap. Nowadays there are so many other consumer goods competing for peoples' income, that they "want" to buy meat AND have all the other "luxuries" they "think" they "should" have. The result is that their "greed" for electronics, holidays and other "previously luxury" items means that they now enjoy these things, at the expense of feeding their "nearest and dearest" cheap crap.

People expect cheap food, put it at the bottom of their priority list, and feed their families poor quality crap.

I notice it is becoming very common for the large shops to now sell " Local Produce". Packaged and identified as being "Locally Grown" This is everything from Fresh Vegetable Produce to Chickens, Eggs, Meat etc. Prices are the same but at least the goods travel short distances. Bit like Finland !!!! but without the "Finnish is Best for you" logo which used to really annoy me.
Well, I saw recently a British TV program where "specialists" were teaching families wise consuming. They went through fridges and kitchen cupboards and took away everything that was imported and replaced it with a British "equivalent". And like Hank already said, it is not "Finnish is Best for you" but a way more neutral neutral Good from Finland. Why would that be annoying?

Surely you remember this? I was a bit on the young side but remember thinking it was a bloody silly idea.

"Good" or "Delicious" - one of these ambiguous adjectives.

I know. But how would "Bad from Finland" or "Mediocre from Finland" sound like? Is Saxonman refering that it should be either of those? Or no slogan at all? Just "A Finnish Product"?
