Hullut Päivät
Re: Hullut Päivät
can somebody please explain to me why everyone considers these days in stockmann to be really "crazy days" with great offers? most of the offers are not even 20% off the initial price... am i getting something wrong here?
Re: Hullut Päivät
Some individual offers may be quite good - but at the end of the day, that's not really the point. The point (marketing-wise) is that the 'crazy days' image has managed to create thexristina wrote:can somebody please explain to me why everyone considers these days in stockmann to be really "crazy days" with great offers? most of the offers are not even 20% off the initial price... am i getting something wrong here?

effect... seems to work okay! Baa!
Re: Hullut Päivät
IMO, there are usually some pretty good offers.xristina wrote:can somebody please explain to me why everyone considers these days in stockmann to be really "crazy days" with great offers? most of the offers are not even 20% off the initial price... am i getting something wrong here?
I'm not going to say which one I would like unless the MIL manages to pick one up today, as I am hopeful that there will be a few left tomorrow... & don't want to shoot myself in the foot by alerting everyone on here!
... one thing which my missus likes is that all of the test / sample garments which manufacturers have sent to Stockman are put out on sale, there may only be one or two of each item, but they can be had at bargain prices.

Some items are, some are not. It is commonly found unethical not to trick the fool out of her cash. Why some people take this so seriously? It is great fun! Saving an euro or two on a micro SD card is worth queueing [is that even a word] for half an hour or so. It is hilarious!

I found that going there knowing exactly what you want to buy is good. My hubby did just that this morning, it took him 30mn to buy our pushchair with carrycot. The exact model we were considering, saving 150 euros so yeah bargains can be made. Although he told me it was already madness at 9.00 and packed with people wandering aimlessly.

MIL got what I wanted - a Route 66 mini navigator for €99,90. Re: Hullut Päivät
I picked up one of those this morning as well, but will be returning it in the morning. Getting the western European maps on it will cost me more than the whole thing cost, and that's why I bought it. Ah well, helps to read the fine print.sinikala wrote:MIL got what I wanted - a Route 66 mini navigator for €99,90. I was AMAZED at Stockmanns this morning! I showed up at 5 minutes to 8, and WOW. It made black friday in the states look like some regular old shopping day. There were so many people waiting outside that when they opened the doors, even the trams couldn't get through. I'm thinking of returning at the same time tomorrow with my camera just so I can record it. Forget Pamplona, I went running with the Finns!
Re: Hullut Päivät
I was in Tampere opposite Stocks today around 11aM & all I could see was yellow PLASTIC bags everywhere, carried by almost everyone in the street
Plastic? Are the bags biodegradable like Prisma´s? I think not! Plastic, plastic, bah, humbug............

That's it! That's what Crazy Days is all about. It's one of those things you have to do once, just so you can say "I've done Hullut Päivät in Stockmann Helsinki".Mikie wrote:

I must say, the whole of the rest of town was quite nice and quiet.
Re: Hullut Päivät
Well Hullut päivät is like any other normal day in a mall in Central/Eastern asia( India, Malaysia etc)
So it doesnt bother me. The best thing is to do targeted shopping + little whimsical..
e.g. Moccamaster KB 741 R advertised as €119, was actually €98 ( and sold at other stores at least for €129 and upto €159)
Buffalo drive station 500GB USB sold at €95. 500GB drives not found in Finland now below 90.
Food items were pretty good bargain ( Quality and price were good).
The Haikku deal was one of the best I ve seen ( €90 for bed n breakfast for 2 including Yorokobi ).
SO depends on what you re lookin for and if they have it..
Moreover, the catalog doesnt cover ALL the deals..advertised in the shop..so if you want a good one..you gotta go there.

Re: Hullut Päivät
I was considering one of those but on reading the reviews re: reliability i decided not to bother.raamv wrote: Buffalo drive station 500GB USB sold at €95. 500GB drives not found in Finland now below 90.

Re: Hullut Päivät
So did I rad about Buffalo. But most others that do it do the same thing. After all, most of the drives inside the box are SATA made by some Taiwanese Manufacturer and packaged by the brand names ( WD, Samsung, Seagate etc etc). So why not. and Since it comes with 2 years warranty and it is Stockmann,I could afford to take the risk!! ( if it were on sale somewhere else ( than Stokka or verkkokauppa), I wouldnt touch it)!MagicJ wrote:I was considering one of those but on reading the reviews re: reliability i decided not to bother.raamv wrote: Buffalo drive station 500GB USB sold at €95. 500GB drives not found in Finland now below 90.

Re: Hullut Päivät
I'm also thinking that i have enough space for now and 1TB drives will be cheap as chips soon enough. Just over £100 in the UK last week.raamv wrote:So did I rad about Buffalo.
