I've been browsing through job offers quite a lot, but I really don't know where I might have any chance to use my Geography etc. My boyfriend hasn't done much more than finishing school so far, so he'd definitely need some more education for a decent job.easily-lost wrote: I don't believe your major is completely useless in Finland. And if you already prepared (other than merely "wanted") to move here, (which means longer than 1 year at least, I guess?) haven't you contacted any company or people that may be interested in hiring you beforehand?
My boyfriend is born in Finland, because his parents were living there at that time. I've been there in summer as well as in winter, and I know a few people who live in the country, though only one "always so busy" guy in Helsinki.easily-lost wrote: How brave you two are to decide moving to a place that you barely even know without any contact!
Ok, I should have mentioned that I'm neither interested in business stuff nor in studying music or arts. I did search more than a little.rauginta_kojine wrote: No, you are not right. This autumn I am going to apply to Haaga Helia Bachelor degree in Business Administration, you can check there what else they have in english. Also Helsinki School of Economics provides some degrees in english. Then Metropolia University (Stadia)...then Sibelius Music Academy...and maybe some Art Polytechnic.. you just have to search a little.
Anyway, I decided to start part-time studies at an inexpensive distance-learning university from October now.
