There is a good book available which I have mentioned a zillion times on this forum.

Establishing and Doing Business in Finland by Tuulikki Holopainen.
ISBN978-951-37-4991-0 www.edita.fi

It will answer all your questions.

If you are serious about starting a business it is no good posting a couple of questions on an internet forum. You need to visit the TE Keskus, read the book and do all the paperwork yourself. There are many variables involved and the answers to your questions will vary depending on what kind of company you decide to register and what kind of business you are running.

Have you used the search function? There have been lots of posts on this forum about starting a business, registering for ALV and paying tax/insurance.

you pay more pension
Well, no. But I wish it would have been so. You state the amount of your pension yourself. And as people often are short-sighted (even at 40 it feels that retirement is something that happens to other people, not you), their (my) pension time will be very poor.

No, you state your income to the company to which you pay your pension and then they calculate the amount of pension you have to pay.
If your pension time is going to be very poor, it means that either your income is very low, or you've been giving your pension company a too low number.

You don't have to pay alv on some kinds of work, and the pension costs are flexible. You decide how much you want to put in, because you tell them how much you think you are going to earn that year - the minimum is just under 7,000eur, and a lot of people declare that, especially when they're just starting out.

It sounds quite dodgy that the employer has suggested this self-employment thing after you have started working there. Have you got any payslips yet? What did they say? Any deductions on there?
