Re: Getting a job in finland.... ?
Ok, so then maybe something like www.eiraedu.fi => theres also the big "studieval" https://www.haenyt.fi/ thats 30.9.-9.10.2009 for stuff beginning 1.1.2010 and then again in the spring for stuff starting in Autumn (more stuff). And they have vocational schools - but would you get by in Swedish? Theres also some English vocational education but not as much. In some places you can do a "double" which means you get a vocational degree + gymnasium done, but that takes a *lot* of studying.Andreas283 wrote:I would have to go to highschool in finland? cuz basicly that is the same as gymnasium in denmark, right?

Re: Getting a job in finland.... ?
Yes, i think i can get by in swedish, but I am thinking of moving to the south of Finland, near Helsinki. So to study in finland, i would HAVE to complete highschool, before I can go to University, or I could go to Vocational school?
EDIT: So I see this school http://www.eiraedu.fi is in Helsinki, which is good, but is the teaching, all the teaching in english, because it says the courses are in english, but im not sure if that''s supposed to mean if all the teaching is in english?

Theres people that have gotten to University without a studentexamen, but thats rare. Eiraedu is in English (you can do an international degree there) but they can press you in Finnish. Then again if your Swedish is at par, apply to one of the gymnasiet in or around Helsinki. Mind you though - if you come to Finland to study you're not entitled to any social money. You can get that covered nly if you've come here for some other reason, like work, and then decide to study.

I actually came to finland to work really. But since I don't have any degree yet, I was thinking i could study in finland too. It would be very interesting, and i would like to study finnish too at the same time as getting a degree, I like to learn new languages really, even the hard ones.Pursuivant wrote:if you come to Finland to study you're not entitled to any social money. Do Finns get any kind of financial support from KELA to study outside Finland?
Is it possible that some EU residents might get support from their home country to study in Finland?

As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.

Not neccesarily, because a lot of the Universities has international degrees too, and nordic, which means I can study in Swedish and English. But I would still need a highschool exam to get in though, my grades are not good enough to just get in, at least i wouldn't think so.interleukin wrote:Yeah, you need to learn Finnish.Or do I need to do something before I can get into university
