Last blue screen that I had: page fault in non paged area

Yesterday I got 3 blue screen errors and 2 sudden freeze of the pc, and that happened in around 1 hour.
I don't know if it's related to that, but yesterday I was transferring some stuff from D: to external hard drive and I got 2 times blue screen while copying.

Until now I didn't have any running with 1 memory stick, but I didn't used the pc that much today.

You need the kind of diagnostic hardware-testing software that boots from a CD or other removable media and doesn't even go into Windows at all. Such a program can usually find this sort of problem pretty quickly and with a high degree of specificity and certainty.

It's been so long since I've had to find a 3rd-party tool that I don't remember any names and if I did they'd probably be out of date.

I wonder what it would cost to have a computer shop run that kind of diagnostic check. It's much easier to find this kind of hardware problem than it is to diagnose subtle interactions and conflicts inside windows.

My Dell actually includes such software. Have you checked to see if there is a manufacturer's folder/directory on your drive that might include diagnostics? Although I've always had excellent results buying Dell, to my surprise the last one I bought was defective right out of the box, with an intermittent memory error. Thanks to their diagnostic software, I was able to identify and isolate the problem and fix it the same day, without having to mess with phone support, shipping of components, etc.
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.

I don't have ATI. 1 day now without blue screen, but only with 1 memory stick, 2GB.
I need to return to verkkokauppa the other one, should I return both because I bought them as a package, or should I just send the faulty one? How the warranty working there?

I'd say both, but do ask first from them.

Expect them to blame motherboard. Its always good to have something supporting your case, for example I have sent some hds back, no questions asked, but I've included logs from diagnostics program.

Hi!
Great that you found the cause of the problem!
If you memory stick is listed as one product (of which you bought 2), it would be OK to send only one stick.
In case it's only one product number including 2 sticks, then you might have to send both.
- As Upphew wrote, call them first and ask for instructions.

Thanks guys for the explanation!
I am a bit impressed that it works until now without blue screen error. I was almost sure that it's coming from another hardware (motherboard, power supply or even HDD because it's an older one) but apperently it's the memory...
I will still test it for 1-2 days and then send the memory to the shop.
I would have liked to test the motherboard also but I think I can't...I still think that it's something fishy with it...

You are right, it's a good way to check the motherboard
