In Australia we do freestyle first, so if your after breaststroke this is not for you. An adult DVD, for adults demonstrated by adults for teaching freestyle is "John Konrads, swim easy". This is the best for an adult to use, you won't fail. Order the DVD and you won't be disappointed. Goggle 'John Konrads' for more information on him and you will see he knows what he is talking about.

Orca swim club is arranging the following swim courses for adults this fall 2011:
- Freestyle technique course
- All swim stroke course
- Triathlon swimming course
more information (in English) at: http://www.orca.fi/kurssikansio/44 (in Helsinki region)

If you are a beginner who is not afraid of water, but struggles to float or to swim a few meters or just does not know how to start, Orca might be able to create a special course for beginners if there is enough interest, so please contact Orca here: http://www.orca.fi/kurssikansio/48

If you are a beginner (not able to swim or having a fear of water), group swim lessons might not be for you as the swim instruction needs to be adjusted to an individual in question. Private swim lesson is the way to go: http://360swim.com/private-lessons/swim-lessons.php (in Helsinki region)

Hey,

It'll be great if you can point to some useful contact details where I can find an instructor to teach swimming in English. If there are more like me, maybe we can form a group learning.

I am 32 years adult who's starting to swim.

Anyone interested?

Thanks!
