Difficult to say - often importers and manufacturers of special products encourage one to go to pharmacies as it supports higher prices - which they may think is good for them on a special product.

Pharmacies are really 'good' at price extortion - you can get acetone from Biltema at a few euros a liter. A tiny bottle from a pharmacy runs 6-7 euro. Etc. (I realize acetone is a common chemical and not being promoted by anyone - but just noting how pharmacies feel they can sock it to you for what they like on some stuff)

I have hunch that it is not exactly same product either (analytical vs. technical grade) (?) - although the difference in purity (if there is such thing here) would most likely be totally irrelevant to most consumers.
