Yeah, but would he be even more so, if had failed (because of some administrative SNAFU for example) and got drunk because of that?

I honestly have no idea how long it was with the police and I don't even know where to check if I wanted to find that out. Is that an important information?

I would surmise that with all the conditions met, correct and complete documentation as what is required, 'clear' cases with the applicant having a national passport and the whole thing takes around 6 months. Migri announced that on their website and many other posters in this forum experienced the same. Migri also said nothing one can do to speed up the process. I suppose it's a case of "Don't call us, we'll call you".

I handed in my application and just waited. I suggest you do the same as there's nothing more you can do at this point (someone please correct me if I'm wrong here).
