I guess this all falls into one of those areas I had never really thought much about before.....I see that nitroglycerin is a "sugar explosive"....and all of this is ancient history....the basics "discovered" in 1847 and then dynamite and Alfred Nobel in the 1860s.

Though I had often wondered why the "sugar lobby" seemed to be so powerful over the years particularly in the US.... Now my cynical mind has kicked in....it was all to do with making sure that there were plenty of resources to be able to make munitions. And getting the populace addicted to sugary products is/was all part of making sure sugar production would stay high and could be quickly diverted to "more important" applications as and when the need arose. The same "logic" probably applies to corn production as well...

Call me cynical, but it certainly makes sense to me... :lol:

So the Finnish army has reserves of nitroxylitol chewing gum, just in case?
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.
