If you are accompanying another family
member, the nature of your move to Finland – temporary or permanent – is
judged by the same criteria that apply to the other family member.
It seems to be clear there... if my husband is entitled to Kela I should be "judged by the same criteria", but apparently like other laws, it depends on the interpretation.
Our new residence permit was supposed to be ready by middle of December, but maybe this case is a bit complicated again. Once we receive it, I will go to Kela office to ask about all these issues and what can be done. I hope someone can give adefinitive answer, positive or negative, but at least we will know better to make our plans and the final decision on where to deliver the baby.

I haven't meet anyone in a similar situation, all my foreing friends were married to Finns when they gave birth, or they had A type of permit and Kela coverage when it happened.
