Refugee-free Language School in Tampere?

Where to buy? Where can I find? How do I? Getting started.

I've been in Finland for few weeks and am looking to get my Finnish to a functional level as soon as possible. I would like to attend a Finnish for Beginners course in Tampere, the more intense, the better. Tuition fees will not be an issue.

I have heard many horror stories about the courses attended by students undergoing their 'integration plan' and would like to avoid those.
Could anyone recommend a course/school in the Tampere region where I would be confident that my fellow students are there to actually learn the language and not just to collect government benefits?

Thanks in advance.

When you show up @ your new class you will always meet people who are not Finnish. stop making excuses and learn for your self. If they are there not to learn will it affect you? if they are there for benefits, will it affect you? 6 months is enough to be good at basic Finnish instead of avoiding foreigners like yourself.

If the other students in my class are being disruptive, constantly talk on the phone during lessons and refuse to let the teachers teach, yes, it will affect me. If you'd like, I can quote some posts from this very forum that show these things do happen in some of those courses.

I think students talking on phone to a level that it becomes too much should be an exception than norm. Also not being able to control the classroom shows more the inability of the teacher than the behaviour of the students.

In all schools and in all classrooms till the level of compulsory education there are students who are not there to study. There are students who have no interest in studies at all, there are bullies, there are naughty students and many other disruptive groups. They are just there because they are forced to be there. But does it mean that all students become dull and fail? Some fail because of this but majority of the students who want to study just go ahead with their studies. So when even children can succeed in such an environment, why no an adult with some brain and some power of reasoning? Yes, you are free to choose whatever you want, but bad classmates are not mostly the reason for failure. From my personal experience I would say after you, teacher is the most important factor in learning anything.
