Thanks Betel and other who have replied. I think the best thing to do for now is wait for my appeal. I have talked to some people who have the exact situation as I have and it turns out that TE customer reps are giving different views on this matter so it all boils down to the person who decides on the application. There can be some flexibility (studies do not prevent you in taking full-time employment) and if worst case scenario, sticks to the "it is the law" reasoning.

Remember that every administrative decision must be given in writing without delay too. The decision has appeal instructions and remember to pay close attention to the time limits. If you still don't have a written decision, ask what's going on.thinkprocessfocus wrote:Thanks Betel and other who have replied. I think the best thing to do for now is wait for my appeal. Hi Betel, yes that is my plan. I will wait for the decision then I will appeal diligently in case it is unfavorable to my situation. Hopefully, I do not have to do that.

I know someone who was in a similar situation as yours but he received the full unemployment benefits. A few questions for you:
1) Are you currently registered/enrolled student in the academic year/semesters in your university?
2) Did you pay the registration fees e.g. student union or whatever fees?
3) Is your current student status = Active ?
4) when you go to the university's restaurant or use the train (VR.fi), Do you currently get/enjoy the student discounts/benefits?
????

thinkprocessfocus,
The person who I know was NOT registered/enrolled in the academic semesters, and when her job contract was terminated, he got the full benefits. I guess that is the difference between his case and yours.
