And not familiar is a big word. I've been reading about Finland, talked to some Finns (of course that doesn't make me a Finn) but not until now I had ever thought about how much it will cost to live there and how much people earn. I don't really need it for the book, since it won't be set in Finland, but it helps to flesh out my character. I don't think I could pull off a book taking place in Finland unless I went to live their while writing it!
