umm not really? For OP I had to, for Nordea nope...

How did they verify your identity at Nordea? Was your passport enough for them?

Ohh Nordea is a different can of worms I have to give them my passport multiple times for some weird reason, but passport was enough. No extra verification needed.

Interesting. With Nordea they gave me a bank account, no problem, but then would not give me the online verification codes (ee-identification) until I had proper Finnish ID to show them. They wouldn't accept my English passport and Finnish citizenship papers. I was told to go to police and get either a Finnish passport or Finnish ID card.

So I got a Finnish passport and then was given the online verification codes to use online.

My (English) husband got an account with OP and was given online verification immediately I guess because he has a job here.
