Good day. is there any good news from those who applied for citizenship in 2022?

Nope, I called to migri and the response was that it would take 30 months. Really frustrating...

Was it always 30 months or how many months it was before? Do you have a special case like refugee etc?

I have applied in end of dec 2023, visited the Migri on 29th Dec. Still waiting for processing . Anyone applied after Christmas 23 got the decision already ?

I did before December (October 2023) and no decision yet

Have you checked with Migri? That seems a bit late if your grounds are in the shorter queue. Worth contacting them to give a little nudge I think.

I don't have any idea. They just give their generic reply, that they have a backlog in the processing of the citizenship application..etc.
I suppose to have a similar situation to many others, even from my circle. I came with student residence permit and switched to work permit after graduation. Country not on the list as they call it. No criminal records and no fines. But it is what it is. No one knows what’s going behind the scenes with the internal processing.

I called them and they said 31 months. Went to visit because I had to attach my newborn baby's application and when I asked the person I met she told me same 31 months so I am just waiting. Next month will be exactly one year.

I moved to stage 2 this week, but nothing has been changed much. Visited their office 12th December.

What is your diary number? You don't need to write whole number, something like 5xxx.

Why are you getting mad? It’s possible that people who has a work/student resident permit can apply later to asylum.And usually refugee’s applications take longer thats why i just asked ))

I was moved to stage 2 yesterday, with a request for extra information. I sent that yesterday and nothing since then.

Why are you getting mad? It’s possible that people who has a work/student resident permit can apply later to asylum.And usually refugee’s applications take longer thats why i just asked ))

Ok. My apologies. I am not a refugee and I got my permanent residence permit based on work recently.
I myself asked Migri why it is taking so long, even more than 23months, but they just give the generic reply.
