"I'd be keen to meet some mums and babies as well. I've got two boys, almost 3 years old and 8 months old respectively. We moved back to Finland just 3 months ago. My hubby's Kiwi. Technically I'm Finnish, although I didn't grow up here. My older boy really misses his friends in NZ. Are there any other 3-year olds in your group?"

Hi rd1kaeo!

There is an International Family Club that was started up in January at the Tapiola Church (no obligation for you to be a member of the church though). The organizers speak English and it is a nice playroom. It might also be another place to get in touch with Moms from other countries. Here is the information:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.tapiolanseurakunta.fi/fi/6655/ifc09/
Wednesdays at 10-11.30 am. Tapiolan kirkko, Kirkkopolku 6 International family club

For more information please call Leena Kausti-Karumaa,050 511 0430 and Katja Salmela 041 5398709

Family clubs have been a success story within the Finnish church in the recent decades. In the family clubs, mothers and other childminders have an opportunity to discuss big and small topics while the children are playing.

I can also recommend the International Playgroup in Lauttasaari from 10-12:30 on Tuesdays. The information is in the Playgroup list (at the top of this section of the forum) or here is their website as well:
