You think you can find a way to survive a trip to Portsmouth? You can't even find your way to a positive goal difference in the Championship

Oh well it looks like I have to hope we beat Wolves to see if they show us in round 4

Poor Plymouth. Oh well, it was to be expected at the Emirates I suppose. Now it's up to Torquay to go all the way!

Cheers for the heads up Chris.

Salopian, double header down t'boozer? you'll no doubt be drinking by then without Fellati(afr)o in your squad anyway.

It was nailed on that this would be televised. Unfortunately, Moyes' record in the Cup is absolutely brutal... something like P13 W4 D3 L6 F17 A20.

In 6 seasons we've been knocked out in the 3rd round 3 times... got to the 4th round twice and our best run saw us get to the 5th round and beaten by Man Utd´s 2nd 11. It's about time we had a decent run, but I fear we are in for yet another dicking.

We'll let you know nearer the time in case word gets around and it fills up with even more red-shirt-wearing-finnish-tossers than usual. :D

Pubbage sounds good. I usually want to watch the derby in isolation, away from the outside world, but nevermind.

January is dry for me, though (with a beer-ban proposed for Feb) - it would take something astounding (or appalling) vs the nameless evil across Stanley Park to drive me to booze.

Doncaster contrived to congest their fixture list further by failing to find the net again, this time against League One relegation candidates Cheltenham Town. I know the R4 ties will go ahead regardless, but it does feel like The Rovers are doing their utmost to hold the competition up, hosting their R3 replay a mere three days before the first of the R4 ties get underway next week

The reward for either Cheltenham or Doncaster will be a home tie against Aston Villa. At least current rules would prevent a repeat of the marathon Fourth Round tie between the Villans and Rovers in 1954/55, which required four replays (0-0, 2-2, 1-1, 0-0, Rovers 3, Villa 1).

A cup run or an attempt to avoid the drop into League One? I say let's have both. Oh, an a repeat of the 3-0 thrashing* we dished out to a full-strength Villa in the Carling Cup three years ago.

(* TBH, I can't see that happening, now that O'Leary's no longer at the helm. Sorry J. Smullen :( ).

Well, I was laughing my ass off in the pub on Monday when we scored - the pub went silent and I enjoyed the moment before clapping loudly, much to the plastic kopites' disdain. Roll on Sunday, though I have an inkling that it will be another draw and go to a replay. Come on you blues.
