The “official”, recommended Finnish term for trossbotten is täytepohja. Rossipohja is more of a folksy loanword or builders’ slang.tuulen wrote:Aha! (It doesn’t necessarily follow that the Swedish word tross would have to mean the same as the Finnish word täyte, though... while that’s a possibility, I guess. Someone with an etymological Swedish dictionary could help us out here...)
