That happened to my better half when we first moved to Vihti. I don't think he was horrendously over the speed. :-D

i've heard of the amount of a fine being related to income but the decision whether to send a warning letter or a fine being based on income ? how would that work? the poor get a warning letter and the rich a fine? or the poor are fined (since even a 100e fine hits their limited income hard) but the rich a warning letter (since to them a 100e fine is small change and they've done enough already by opening the letter).

Being in charge of a vehicle is a huge responsibility. I'm an offensive driver, not a defensive driver and have learned that I just have to be patient when driving. On a 100 km road, if I have to drive 10 kms below the limit, behind a slower car, with no safe place to pass, I get to my destination about 5 minutes later than I would have had I been able to drive the speed limit. And getting stressed out doesn't do me any good. I make sure I have some good tunes in the car on longer drives and give myself a 10-15 minute window by leaving a bit earlier. :)

Drive safely!
Quoted for truth!

You see it every once in a while a fast driver overtaking everyone, sometimes dangerously and you end up behind him 5-10km later at the lights  . Take your time and respect other road users. These are public roads that we all have to share and nobody wants to see a car accident eh!
