And since banning fur production is a hot political issue, wearing fur might not be the best fashion choice in some student circles.
And you'll look like a rich Russian tourist.
And that is bad? I like to look at long legs in short skirts and high heels. Weather be damned.
Seriously:
I'd wear fur, but I can't afford, 1st citizens initiative that parliament voted on was banning fur farming.
Russian tourists are both liked and hated/loathed here. Looking like one and being female might put you close to hooker look though.

Mostly because I'm scared of mountains and large snow hills. But I guess you are right. There is SOME snow in the south... The snow hogs up north have the rest

I’m a native so my experiences of Finland are, well, my life. But on the “share what you want to share” note:

You will no doubt get stared at because I have this feeling your version of quiet is still noisier than Finnish quiet. As I'm sure was mentioned, you might want to tone down your flamboyance. Of all the Finns I know, they've all valued hard work and earning your proverbial keep. More staring.
Just for measure, how quiet is Finnish quiet?

Well I don't think I'm in fear of looking like a hooker.

Just for measure, how quiet is Finnish quiet?
One day two brothers, Jukka and Pekka, meet after a long time apart, 25 years after Jukka moved to Canada. Pekka sees his brother, nods, and they go to a sauna in the woods. They drink vodka in silence for a couple of hours. Then Jukka asks: “How's the farm?” Pekka grunts, and they continue drinking for another couple of hours. Eventually Jukka asks: “So Pekka, what happened to our mother?”. At that point, Pekka stands up and shouts: “Did you come all that way from Canada just to talk crap???"

Surely that is an exaggeration.

It clearly is - for sober Finns that behaviour would be expected, but after a few bottles of vodka Finns are more talkative.

A few bottles? My god. I'd be dead if I drank even half a bottle.... Are Finns really such hardcore drinkers?

come on, her posts are crank posts or she's a troll or whatever you call it, why are we even feeding into it. Noone could be this much of an eejit. She's a rich wench (daddy's money?? - Bernie Ecclestone?? ) who just randomly is going to come to Finland doing something non-fully-defined, has a 900k budget for a pad in one of Hki's most expensive areas, and wants to randomly give people gifts, and "experience" snow, darkness, silent people etc. etc.
yeah

Well, the past three days or so the police caught a few drunk drivers blowing BAC counts 4.3 , 4.7 and 4.9
A normal person would keel over and die of alcohol poisoning around 3.8...
The record is something like 6.7 , but that was a Russian/Estonian - the ex-USSR guys can get way pickled.

I think you are over analyzing things a bit. I'm just trying to get information about Finland. Really, what is your issue?
