Nothing happend yet, no requests no messages. Nothing, I only got automatic message that its in progress.

I feel very frustrated and little bit down to be honest with How things going.

Can I ask entrepreneurs who have been processed already or who are in the processing stage? When they started your processing? Did they start when it was exactly 23 months after submission or slightly eariler or later (if you can give exact timeline)? I'm asking because my 23 months are coming in 3 weeks, but at the same time I have plans to visit another country in EU for 2 weeks, so I'm no sure what to expect, should I return airplane tickets.

well mine entered stage 2 4 days after it entered 23rd month. up untill now no additional request nothing . I dont know whats up with them anyways . just like you i wanted to travel to my home country but well nothing now so still waiting

We feel your frustration, many in this forum have been waiting since 2022. I personally have been waiting for exactly 23 months today and its still in the first stage. It painful especially that it deprived me from many opportunities but life move on. It will get better, and you will receive a decision at some point. Trust the process.

We feel your frustration, many in this forum have been waiting since 2022. I personally have been waiting for exactly 23 months today and its still in the first stage. It painful especially that it deprived me from many opportunities but life move on. It will get better, and you will receive a decision at some point. Trust the process.

Yeah thank u. Actually waiting on stage 1 was way easier, But on 2nd its total mayhem. I applied for pysyvä with Exactly the same bag of papers except Yki testi, it took them to check and everything 1h to make a decision for pysyvä. I literally have 90% of same papers

We cannot make a citizenship decision for you if you are residing abroad

i.e. I dont want to delay my processing because they will be off in July if I travel and return

i.e. I dont want to delay my processing because they will be off in July if I travel and return

you can still travel without informing them (you can update ur travel history once u get back) even if they arrive at a decision when u are outside finland your residence permit is still valid and works so you can get back .

Has anyone had stage 2 after replying to the additional request this long?

March 2023: application submission.
April 2023: identification at Migri office.
25.03.2025: moved to stage 2.
27.03.2025: request for supplemental information.
28.03.2025: replied to the request.

Since then, no nothing. No decision, no additional questions, no new request. 49 days have passed. I called Migri in late April, but was told to “just wait”.

23 months and appr. one week. It gets slower with time. I have two entrepreneur acquaintances who applied a bit earlier than me, so I exactly know our delta in days. Their stage 2 started not at a datetime (my date minus our delta), but a bit earlier. I do not know how Migri is going to deal with their backlog when they start processing even later. So now I would count for entrepreneurs on appr. 23,5 - 24 months for stage 2 to start.

you can still travel without informing them (you can update ur travel history once u get back) even if they arrive at a decision when u are outside finland your residence permit is still valid and works so you can get back .

It's not valid but in practice, for example, an airline employee in a third country would not know it. Technically one should go and get Finnish documents from one of our missions but in practise it's unlikely to be necessary.

yesterday I received a message from migri that my citizenship decision is waiting for my son's RP approval who happens to be a co-applicant . He was born here and this is his extended permit application. we applied for his both Residence permit and citizenship in 2023 but then I started entrepreneurship and I added legal expenses which brought my taxes for that year to zero . (tax decision for 2024 is yet in progress but according to my accountant that should cover for the living expenses of the family). migri has been reluctant to issue a decision and I have permanent permit . DO you think I should hire a lawyer or do what? migri said they will contact me soon but I dont really know .

If you don't have PR and started a company, and ground for residence permit are not valid (i.e. no work), you might have a problem. If grounds for residence permit are valid plus you have a company than you are fine.

I started a company after I got PR. everything is fine they are just not issuing a decision .

I started a company after I got PR. everything is fine they are just not issuing a decision .

When did you apply for citezenship? It takes 23-24 months for enterpreneurs these days
