This never happened to me. But people here were saying that this situation is happening sometimes.

My queue number is still steadily increasing by a few places every work day since the day I applied Very interesting, going the wrong way

This is how the queueing works if you newly applied. Anyone who submits his application before you get assigned the diary number even if you visit migri before them once they visit their number will be in front of you. So there are people who submit 3 months before interview and those can be ahead of you in terms of queue. What you should know the queue does not mean anything and Migri does not follow FIFO(first in first out) so forget about that. Someone can have queue number 5000 and get it while someone with 200 is still waiting.

Nothing Specific you just have to wait if you have valid residence permit or indefinite session they decide when ever you become eligible for the citizenship. I don’t know how many times I called them the answer is just wait nothing else. I don’t believe they give citizenship.I am an Eu citizen. I am so sad for people like me who waited . This institution must change immediately. Taxpayers living in this country do not deserve this persecution cruelty.
The government is interested, I think this stupid institution will change as soon as possible. they don't do their job properly the only answer they give is they don't even know
an institution with no nonsense aim must be reformed as soon as possible, this institution is a hundred years behind
my opinion. Don't we live 21 centuries what kind a investigation take 2-3 years?

"We have started to use the Incomes Register today from which we will receive information on wages, salaries, benefits and pensions. Customers who apply e.g. extended or permanent permit or Finnish citizenship don’t have to attach pay slips anymore."

This will not change anything in processing time. It just saves applicants time to upload and printing pays slips while visiting migri. I do not see this as good news

It might improve processing times!
For example when Migri asks people to upload updated information, then they have to send a message to the individual, wait for them to get it, read it and understand it, hopefully obtain the correct documents and upload them (or even submit by mail if the application was not made electronically).
Later, the Migri employee has to familiarize themselves again with the application, check if the asked documents are uploaded, and continue processing it.

Now a Migri computer receives the information directly from a trustable source in a standardized format, and is able to automatically "check the box" for income requirement. Employees might still be needed for some edge cases, but it should reduce their workload on investigation for most cases.
