Because of three major wonderful things: wonderful people, wonderful climate and where else can one find such a wonderful depression?

I told you not to buy a mirror, shamen...
Here in Finland, I have done everything I can to blend-in with the Finns, I've changed my hair color, wore differnet clothes, got different

Dude, Pierrot! Your quote's, like...awful...and yet downright ihana, as well.

I would never change my hair color. But I have always wanted a head full of good, thick black hair.

I've seen all of my reasons mentioned already, except for one ( I think.. I didn't read all the posts.. )

One of the main reasons i want to live in Finland is for the clean air. I have asthma and during the summer months that i live in toronto, is it completely out of control. I have to drink asthma tea, take my puffer, and take a daily dose of steroids - all this just to be able to walk the one block to my work, and STILL I have asthma attacks at least once a week. Year round, however, the polution in that city causes me to feel fatigued, I have chronic head ear nose and throat problems, throat and tonsil ulcers, and my voice always sounds raspy. :( Here (living in a major city no less!) my voice is clear, i have energy and i feel better than i can ever remember feeling my whole life. I never have to take any medication - not even my tea! SO, why move to finland? I CAN BREATHE :!: :D :D

Yes, my natural blonde self said the same thing. Then i moved to Helsinki, and got myself a head full of good, thick black hair. (kept a shock of blonde at the front though)

Yes, why not, if you have a job. It is very difficult to get a job in Finland if you can not speak the language. Turkish grammar - so I have been told - is wonderful : very clever and very logical. Unfortunately I can not say the same about Finnish grammar.

Some foreigners are very unhappy in Finland for various reasons. Check out this discussion ! :

It all depends on your profession, if its in the medical field they are definitely hiring. Last week when I was in the Hospital visiting someone I was amazed at how many Foreign doctors they had listed.

I think networking is the key to finding a job here in Finland, any job.
Its not what you know its who you know that counts. Of course language helps but name a country where it doesn't matter. Communication is always a fundamental factor in any sustainable business.

Yes, networking...I think that would work, too, as you said. :?
