FYI - today's Hesari sports (no pun intended) a short article on the Manchester United plane crash in 1958... in the section HS 50 years ago... just thought I'd mention!

"The English Premier League is considering the idea of staging some matches around the rest of the world."

WTF!

They already moan there's too many games and the national team suffers because of it and now they want to add an extra game to the season so people in Kuala Lumpur can be enthralled by WIgan v Middlesborough.

Exactly my sentiments... yeah, everyone wants to see Chelski and Manure and the Reds and the Arse, and they all sell 80-dollar shirts all over the place, but who really is going to show up for the other 16 clubs?

I liked the Premier League boss's stuff about fans getting an extra match and being able to go see it... yeah, Derby fans hopping on an Airbus 380 to Singapore for the weekend.

Nice.

Not that they want to use it as an excuse but,

"We believe the team was affected by international call-ups," said Queiroz.

"But talking about that would be an excuse." he then want on to say blah blah tiredness, blah blah internationals, blah blah

You lost to City mate, shut it.

What's the difference in prize money between first and second (or third?)? Looking like a poor business and footballing decision right now.

Yup yup. Caught the second half after sauntering back home from futsal. We had a touch of luck with decisions on both goals (build up/close offside call (no 'daylight' between def/Anichebe...@#$% floodlit, is why  )) and they had one disallowed just before HT at 0-0. Slightly flattering, but there was a real difference in quality in the second half. But (half the) job done. :D

I'm starting to wonder about Arsenal. The quality is there, late comebacks, goals from long balls, long range efforts, as well as flowing moves, but now you're ahead - and clearly - do the young gun(ner)s have the bottle? I'm looking forward to your Champs' League match next week.

Snapped a knee tendon lastnight against the mighty Livorno. Ouch. Is it the end? Poor lad.
