Why did they tally up penalty points for the fighting after the whistle blew at the end of the game. They seemed to take ages conferring, writing things down and adding things up. But who cares? The game is over. Do those points actually count for anything? Do those players carry forward some kind of penalty???

'Nother question...
When Peltonen got the 5+20 minute penalty and left the rink, Finland still played a full team on the ice, right? (Except IIRC correctly there was someone else in the cage too for a couple of minutes). But what's the rule on the 20 minute penalty? Is it like a suspension?
'Nother question...
That was clearly not a goal (according to my kids) so how come the ref/linesmen (whatever they are called) gave it? Don't they see the same footage as the TV audience???
'Nother question...
When Finland scores, Shedden writes "GOAL" in his notebook. Why? Doesn't he trust ref to keep track of the score? Does he have a short-term memory problem???

Anyway, I thought his remarks at the end of the game ("I don't have a problem with that" - referring to the punch-up) were a bit not OK. Glad the kids were in bed by then, not sure I quite like here grown ups condone violence. But at least he admitted the goal was "doubtful" but "we'll take it anyway".
Shame the Canada game is so late. Not sure the kids can stay up two nights in a row.
