yes, but sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!
unlike the original
Sagres:
Sagres is situated inside the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park, at the most South-Westerly point of Portugal and Europe.
The coast around Sagres is dotted with more than 20 beaches: some sandy coves hidden at the foot of cliffs, others broad expanses of sand that stretch away to the horizon, all inviting you to discover them and rediscover peace and solitude. Here, in an increasingly developed world, we are before an unspoilt vision of nature.

Now you are TALKING, ajdias! A most excellent part of the world. But please keep quiet about it, as I would prefer not to have to share the beach at Figueira with hordes of smelly tourists. Let them stay where they belong, in the nice gated communities of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago.
That whole coast west of Burgau is lovely - so far. The area is also filled with prehistoric remains. I saw a menhir by the side of the road that looked like it had fallen straight out of an Asterix comic. Oh, and dinosaur footprints in the rocks by the sea.

Lucky you, I haven't ever been to Algarve or even Alentejo. Maybe one day i'll fly on a package tour to Albufeira.

And yes, the west coast is a dream (so far, at least..)

Personal view only, but "The Algarve" as it is advertised could be anywhere these days. Portimao to Faro is one big strip-mall. It's a shame they didn't learn the lessons of the Costa del Sol. That national park has rescued the western end so far, but how long the developers can be kept out is the big question...

True, they've been playing 2nd class mediterranean sea&sun and no way they can beat spain or greece, leave france and italy out of the contest. Bad, bad strategy!
There's a town near Porto (Póvoa do Varzim) that is known for its tall and ugly buildings. It is also named the "Quarteira* of the north". Quarteira is a town in Algarve, apparently the ugliest one..

Yeah, about the only good thing to come out of it was that Jussi Jääskeläinen and Antti Niemi both had decent afternoons.

Ho, ho, ho.
Apropos of that, Ace, what odds would you give me on the fact that "Red Dawn" as a name existed only AFTER the successful capture of the Butcher of Baghdad.
Everythin's gotta hava NAME, ya know... something catchy... so's you can sell it.
Like Florida in 2000, "Operation Bush Doctor".

My colleague told me today that one of the first name mooted for Dick'n'Rummy's Iraqi Adventure was
Operation
Iraqi
Liberation
... which somehow seems too good to be true.
Interestingly, WLM, it seems that even the "don't diss our Ged" posse down at RAWK have even turned against Houllier now- although some of the apologists are claiming that he is being affected by his health or Madame H's cooking or something.
I dunno, but when STEVIE G has a moan to the official website, then things must be bad:
http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldow ... 5-1043.htm
By the way, at about 10am this morning (Finnish time) this was actually much longer and headlined: "Gerard considering future"- I bet the .tv team were hauled over the coals for that one...

eee baaah goom mancuniaaans.
eh up long time no talk. Okay I'll be the first to admit it hasn't been the best of periods for us, but we have a lot to look forward to- kewell is coming back to the playr we know and love. Heskey is starting to show his worth.
Plus with Owen and gerrard still to come back we got a bright future. I even think we may grab that 3rd place (I can see chelsea blowing it). and then next season- with the foundations layed- houllier set, I can honestly, hand on heart, see us beating all you !"#¤% to the title.
Like I said, you can bump this thread up if we fail, but even the most blind of manu scums could definitely see a spark today (esp. in the second half), with the FA & uefa cup in our pockets come may it might just prove to be a very good season for us

Did anyone see the Gillingham Charlton game?? After the first minute I thought we are going through

How wrong I was. Have to admint though The Gills did play the better football and deserved the win.
Bit disappointed my main man Scott Parker wasnt playing.

That's just the most hideous piece of wishful thinking I have ever read. Winning a cup means going quite a few games on the bounce unbeaten, and that, I fear, is not going to happen. By the way, what is WUM?
