hi, he is from Russia, works in public sector. Based on my experience what I saw, if your profile is simple: like you have a job etc not refugee and you don't have any mistakes in your form and you didn't have your own company, most probably, you will be processed up to 9 or 10 months, but still no gurantees.alpakka1 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 23, 2025 6:17 pmHi!
Would you be able to share some more details about your friend's situation? Anything you can share would be very helpful, like their RP before citizenship and whether they were EU citizen or not. I'm planning to apply soon myself and was wondering in which situations migri can give automated decisions![]()

Re: Citizenship application 2025
Wow wow wow!!! What a relieve from 2022 just got my decision this morning. Timeline was as follows
30.12.2022 - Visited Migri to prove identity
22.8.2025 - Application went into processing
25.8.2025 - A (positive) decision was made
Probably took so long because I mention when applying that I was kevytyrittäjä. So it took approximately 32 months. And they did kept to their words when they told me last time that it will be processed in one or two months. Thanks very much for the support from this group, really helped me stay strong all these years. Wishing all the best for those still waiting. Just stay strong try to forget about it, travel and live your life. Your turn will come.

Re: Citizenship application 2025
Hi,
I applied for my citizenship based on my job, but I also mentioned about my toiminimi although I have not received any salary from it. So my only source of income has been my full time job. Can anyone help me figure out what supplement documents I should expect from migri regarding my toiminimi so I can attach it now. Can any one with the same experience help me out in this? maybe refer an accountant who can help me prepare those documents?
Anyone who has a similar case like me or knowledge about it, please respond.
Thanks in advance

Not totally similar, but partially. Just a toiminimi, no job. Supplement was send income statement and balance sheet for last 5 years. Private withdrawal and deposit certified by accountant. Accountant certificate that your business was not required to file financial statements with trade register.fa_finland wrote: ↑Mon Aug 25, 2025 10:05 pmHi,

I don't understand why they are making it mandatory to get thise from accountants. If you did not use an accountant regularly, what are you supposed to do? Vero and PRH does not require you to have an accountant, if your revenue and business size did not cross a certain limit, if you were a toiminimi.

Thank you for your response. In my case, I have just registered toiminimi 6 years ago and then I haven't done anything related to it. Is there any place where I can check if my toiminimi have earned anything, or does it work only if I have reported the income? I need to double check If I have received any payments in the past through it.Maaria wrote: ↑Tue Aug 26, 2025 6:58 amNot totally similar, but partially. Just a toiminimi, no job. If you are employed part- or full-time, wouldn't migri already have access to the info they need via the incomes register? If memory serves, migri's website states as much.Zuzufin wrote: ↑Tue Aug 26, 2025 12:24 pmWhat is the condition for who work park or full time. Your toiminimi would not have generated any income if you had no billings. Did you ever have any correspondence from Vero in connection with your toiminimi? Did you ever fill out tax returns as a business operator?fa_finland wrote: ↑Tue Aug 26, 2025 3:36 pmThank you for your response. I don't think it's mandatory to have an accountant. I believe you can supply the information yourself. Is your application still in the processing stage?Maaria wrote: ↑Tue Aug 26, 2025 6:58 amNot totally similar, but partially. Just a toiminimi, no job.
