Citizenship Application 2022
Re: Citizenship Application 2022
Re: Citizenship Application 2022
Visited migri late October 2021 and after being in stage two for 3 weeks, 2 days ago they asked for more information about if I have travelled and bank statements from 2018 for means of support before back then when I was student. I provided it and explained my situation. The tricky part is that I'm coming from a country which is under heavy sanctions and there is no way to receive family support through bank transfer. The only way is ti either bring cash and deposit it or to borrow from a friend here and pay their families in my home country. I did explain this to them. I hope this won't cause some issues. Anyone has any experience in this?
Re: Citizenship Application 2022
I fully understand your situation. My advice to you is to provide as little information as possible. Just answer the question they ask, nothing more. Don't explain the details. They may now ask you about taxes. Tell them that your family pay their taxes back home and the money you get here is like a gift. Remember that they don't have the right to ask your bank for your transactions. They only know what you tell them. Your situation might be hard for them to understand and so it causes them to ask many questions. I really hope they won't ask any further questions though. And best of luck to you!vilpi wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 9:20 amVisited migri late October 2021 and after being in stage two for 3 weeks, 2 days ago they asked for more information about if I have travelled and bank statements from 2018 for means of support before back then when I was student. As far as I know the monetary gifts of over Eur 1000 would be taxable in Finland, so good to keep this in mindazar.sara wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 10:20 amI fully understand your situation. Re: Citizenship Application 2022
I just got a positive decision today. it took around 9 months overall. I came here from the middle east as a student and have been working since 2018. The Q number was around 4200 when it went to stage two and it took 3 weeks after that as I said they asked for some more information about the source of income back when I was a student.Vagabond wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 10:31 amAs far as I know the monetary gifts of over Eur 1000 would be taxable in Finland, so good to keep this in mindazar.sara wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 10:20 amI fully understand your situation. Re: Citizenship Application 2022
Congrat for this. I would like to ask how did you reply to their bank statement requests while you were a student? Did you show them any bank statement from your home country where it shows your family withdraw some money in different times? or just a simple explanation.vilpi wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 9:20 amVisited migri late October 2021 and after being in stage two for 3 weeks, 2 days ago they asked for more information about if I have travelled and bank statements from 2018 for means of support before back then when I was student. For the time I was studying, my parents provided financial support for me. Because my family live in X, it is not possible to send money via bank. For the duration of my study, most of the time, when I visited my family, I took cash with me and I did cash deposits. This is the only way I could have money in my bank account. When I was not able to visit, I had to borrow from friends and later I paid it back or my family had to pay their family in my home country . This was what we had to do in order to be able to continue studying.
Please let me know if you need any more information.
Kind regards
