South African police have admitted they are struggling with the increase in sex, drugs trafficking and thefts during the opening weeks of the world cup but are confident things will get easier once John Terry and his family have gone home.

Hahahahahaha. Loved the vuvuzela comments.

Question. What's more annoying? The vuvuzelas or having to watch the World Cup on YLE TV2? That guy with the streaked hair is an acid tripper's worst nightmare. :D

Can anyone direct me to some good internet radio coverage (in English) so I can mute the YLE TV2 ice hockey boyz and get some atmosphere.

Btw that Shelley Duvall (Shining) pic was pure genius. :lol:

I think soccer should be renamed as acting competition for fake injuries in the field. At least, American football is a lot better where players will fight to death for a piece of a football :)

Nah, let them jump and check for contact from the video with a few games ban acting as deterrent. Kick doesn't have to be hard to drop you for a minute.

I think american football should be renamed as handegg. :P
And it is such a different game, when you have 45 players with body armor to use and rest.

edit. over 50 -> 45

Should be able to get UK radio commentary through

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer

Or just watch the match on BBC with a VPN, then ...

John and Sinikala

Ta very much for the info.

I don't know about the VPN but I once used a proxy server to access BBC iplayer and some channel 4 shows. It belonged to some greeting card company :D . I think they must have sussed something was up when I got a craving for Father Ted and Teachers ( :lol: that sounds a bit perverse).

Cheers

Well. This American is glad to have survived the excitement of the USA-Algeria match.

Anybody who hates soccer ought to watch a match like this to see that a 1:0 match can in fact be incredibly exciting.

I feel bad for the Slovenians, though. It would have been better if they had finished second behind the Americans in the group.
