Why did you get this ban? Was it for overstaying? They will of course consider the previous ban when making decisions on your RP and depending on why you got the ban, you may or may not get the RP approved.john_wik wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 1:12 pmHi,
I've got 2 year entry ban from Finland in 2022, one year already gone and next year, 2024 my ban period will be completed. I've complete degree from Finland and also have full-time work with Finnish country. Is it possible that next year I'll apply for RP and Migri will give me positive decision means will they consider my previous situation while giving decision? If anyone went through this situation, it would be great if can guide.
Thank you

Re: Citizenship Application 2023
This is a thread about citizenship. Not residence permit. If you have ever been banned entry from Finland, expect that your chances for the rest of your life in getting any permit from Finland will be extremely low. Chance could be positive but because you already got banned once, they can always argue that they'd suspect you'd cause problems if they let you back in for anything more than tourism. They don't issue bans lightly.john_wik wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 1:12 pmHi,

EDIT: After reading your previous posts, I think you're screwed. There is no way they will let you back in but that's just my opinion.
1. You had falsified documents.
2. They cancelled your study visa
3. You appealed
4. They rejected that appeal
5. You were given 1 month to leave
6. You tried to work around that by applying for a job and work permit (You also failed to leave)
7. They declined that also
8. You were banned from re-entering as a result.
Clearly you need to take "no" for an answer. When they tell you to go, you must go. Even if you had a job waiting, you should have left, gone back to wait for the decision and then possibly could have come back under different grounds. Instead you stuck around and they had to deny you a third time. You're lucky the ban wasn't longer.
You're better off trying to get an RP for a different country. At the very least expect to be scrutinized, have a good explanation and be 99% ready for a decline. You're just going to throw your money away on applications and waste time in appeals.
Congrats.

The average Somali and Iraqi costs Finland €12,000 per person, per year.

Likely it's because they applied after the automation was brought in from June 2022.Auringon_kukka wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 1:06 pmCongratulations! Another speedy decision. Can only hope that it augurs well for the rest of us![]()

Place your bets which of us gets answer first! I vote juls (if they didn't get an answer already). Due to applying after automation started.37yqp8098y5 wrote:Applied 01.2022
Queue today: 20xx. Stage 1.
Next week is 18 months exactly since I applied. I think anyone before 06.2022 is going to be waiting at least 18-24 months.
Most people seem to have got their stage 2 announcement with queue number >1800 and mine is almost there. So if I'm lucky ~2 more months.

Re: Citizenship Application 2023
So as I mentioned earlier, I applied in June 2022, and it has been 12 months now (1 year of waiting). I do not know when and on which basis they process the applications.
Re: Citizenship Application 2023
Hi
I have applied in September 2022 and also still waiting, so I think that the automation helps, but there are still some things that automation cannot do, so some of the people still have to wait for long time
Anyways, 18 months is quite a time to be honest, and according to the official statistics on the migri website, still they have a great backlog that they cannot solve (number of applicants per month is still greater than number of decisions, except for March, where there was insignificant surplus of decisions over the applications), so I’m afraid the queue can even grow more, since there is no stated limited time that they can handle the case (as far as I remember)
