Hello. We applied for an extended permit in Helsinki on 09/20/2024 (it turns out that we applied for the first permit based on family ties, because before that there was an entrepreneur's permit, but the application form and the price were taken as for the extended permit). 6 months of waiting No news at all

I am in the similar situation, the past permit was work permit and now I applied for family permit and its been more than 6 months and no news.

Just wanted to share an update — my residence permit based on family ties (as the spouse of a Finnish citizen) has finally been approved!

We verified our identities at the Finnish embassy on January 14th. Here’s a quick look at the timeline:

26.12.2024 We have received your application and it is pending.  
14.01.2025 A diary number has been created for your application. You can see the diary number at the top of the page. Your application has been placed in the processing queue. We will contact you if we need more information from you. Our processing times can be found on our website at www.migri.fi 
14.01.2025 The processing of your application has started. Contacting us does not speed up the processing of the application. If we need further information from you, we will send you a request through this service. 
22.04.2025 The decision has been made. If you cannot see the document concerning your decision, please wait patiently. You will be contacted.  
22.04.2025 The decision can be read on your user account. 
22.04.2025 You have received the decision. 

We’re now just waiting for the residence permit card to arrive.

I received my decision yesterday
I just wanted to update,I applied in January and received the decision 4th June .

I am in the similar situation, the past permit was work permit and now I applied for family permit and its been more than 6 months and no news.

I finally got the decision on 1st June. Looks like it was just in the queue for the past 8 months. The process started and got the decision within 20 minutes.
