Today I got a positive decision ,I proved my identity on the 5 of November last year. queue number was 4300.
decision came in the morning , only got a message that a decision was made , no questions or anything .I had sent an email to expedite processing .a couple of weeks ago. Country not on the list. of north African /Arabian decent I was on a Permanent permit Senior Engineer at public tech company

Well well, not 100% sure but nobody left any message about it in forums I'm following.
How many approvals there were from people applied in January and got citizenship in July? I think about 5 or 6 only in this topic

Could you give a hint about what you wrote them (and to which address)? It seems our cases are more or less similar: I'm also Senior Engineer at a public tech company with a permanent residence permit, country is not on the list, but I applied and proved my identity a week before you (28 of October).

It would be interesting to know what reason you stated to expedite processing? What I understood that it’s very, very rare that migri expedites processing unless it was a strong justification.

I cited the need due to the fact that I need to travel representing a Finnish company , and the obstacles of having to apply for visas .
I also mentioned the fact that people who applied well after me have gotten a decision .

Yes , you can and should be expedited if it is affecting your work travels.

I don't know if they officially expedited the process since your reason for asking is important but not critical (I applied for expedition for a reason of actual importance at a national level and even then, they did not officially expedite the application). But if you applied in November last year, that means that it took 9 months (which is the lower end of the estimated processing time for citizenship applications). I also got mine approved in exactly 9 months also.

Just my queue number is slowly moving (decreases by 90 - 100 per month), now 520.

Did you contact them? It is exactly 24 months in your case now. I think you are the one with the longest waiting time on this thread.

Yes, and they replied :
"Hakemuksesi odottaa vielä käsittelyyn pääsyä. Hakemuskäsittely on ruuhkautunut ja käsittelyaika on tällä hetkellä 24-26 kuukautta".

I would be glad if I get a decision within 2 months. I doubt it because the expected processing time is increasing, as they are processing newer applications.

My application moved to processing 2 today applied 25.5.2021.
I have informed them 2 weeks ago to I have vacation next week sometime. If I get decision while I am away is it problem?
