Hello everyone! This adventure concluded successfully for me today. I submitted my application in early June of 2021. Two days ago, my queue number was 20xx. People surrounding me with queue numbers still have applications awaiting the queue. I arrived in 2013 as a student (B type) and subsequently shifted to A type in the last four years, although without a high income. Someone wrote that his letter to Migri demanding fast processing may have been why he received the decision. I followed this recommendation and requested a quicker procedure. First, I emphasised in Finnish that I had previously waited a considerable amount of time and that this impacted my life. Second, I stated why I must visit my home country, and I cannot make sure when I can return to Finland. However, consider that concurrently, the processing time has decreased from 19 months to 16 months. Therefore, I do not know whether or not the letter was effective. Since they have not responded to my letter, I believe they agreed with my request. The procedure began less than a week ago, and I was notified through email and text message. Nonetheless, I have received no communication regarding the decision. I checked it myself. As soon as the procedure began, I provided them with payslips, other travel-related documents, etc. In the past sixteen months, you guys have been really helpful. I greatly appreciate anyone who contributed information to the forum. Wishing you everyone a fast positive decision.

I didn't get any notifications. I checked it between 12:00-13:30 myself, and the decision was already there. Before, I also checked in the morning, but no decision. I hope you get it as soon.

I think you should wait bfore the decision come. If you go anyway take the all the additional information with you if they ask for, You can replying to them for sure data showing that where ever you login to EnterFinland. They know it you are away

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I doubt the letter had any affect whatsoever Migri has never, ever known to make exceptions or honour additional circumstances or pleas to speed things up unless basically forced to by law. I've found from years of living here that Migri operates in the following manner of using as little effort as possible and ensuring that they show absolutely no favourtism at all.

If your letter had any affect whatsoever, they would never admit it. Obviously because they don't want to encourage anyone else to step out of line.

Of course everyone is welcome to ignore my opinion and send a message to Migri. If you see results also, it might be proof of something. But one example does not make a statistic.

Just found this forum. I applied in last October, still waiting after 1 year, not even in stage 2 yet. I know many got their response in 6 month. My application is very clear with no gap with good income. Still they refuse to answer why it is taking so long. Last time they told me it is random and maybe goes to 23 month, don't call again. so frustrating experience.
