Finnish Speech Handheld Device

Post by ari » Sun Jul 31, 2005 7:26 pm

Is anyone aware of a handheld device that does text to speech in Finnish, like a speak and spell.

I'm aware of a web one, but a small handheld one would be much better.

I do not think that such devices are available. I may be wrong, of course.

TranSmart has some interesting language tools but they do not have a portable speech synthesizer :

"Finlandia" performed by a Finnish speech synthesizer :

My Finnish is rubbish, hence wanting as much help as possible. but from what I can read, I think these guys do some software for a Nokia System 60 phone....which would be a really good option.

Plus the demo on the website actually sound quite real.
