We got granted recidence permit today, but the decision says valid from july>
Does this mean we have to wait till july before travelling to Finland.
And is this normal that they put the starting date so far away from today?

If you think they made a mistake, you could change it with an appeal. Usually it's valid immediately but could be in the future, for example, because you applied for a future start date.

In the application we said we would be moving to Finland in march, so thats why i find it bit odd to say that it starts in July.
